Report: 'Exploration of digital platforms and artificial intelligence in the Dutch electricity system'

Radiocommunications Agency Netherlands requested an analysis of the (future) use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the Dutch electricity system and the associated opportunities and risks.
The role of digital platforms and AI in controlling the electricity supply will increase sharply over the next five to ten years.

The report provides insights into the possible consequences of this increase and identifies the main risks for the availability, affordability and reliability of the electricity supply. In addition, it provides guidelines for a possible approach for the Radiocommunications Agency Netherlands, as one of the regulators in the energy sector.
